You’re pregnant and done navigating this alone. This is for the woman who wants dedicated support through pregnancy and postpartum, curated knowledge, and a doula in her pocket who already her story.
You're here because you want to feel ready.
You’re here because you’ve already decided this birth will be more than medically safe.
Secretly you even want it to be great. And that’s not too much to ask.
You’ve done the research. You’ve listened to the podcasts. You’ve probably also joined the online groups 😉 And somewhere between all of it you realized that no amount of information makes you feel prepared.
Because what you actually need isn’t more content, you need someone who already knows your story, your fears, and how to help you trust yourself.
You’re not willing to hand over control but you’re also not sure how to hold on to it. And you’re not willing to look back on this and wish you’d done it differently.
You’ve decided your birth deserves more because you know intuitively that it matters for how you enter motherhood and for how you feel about yourself, for a long time to come.
After a decade as a doula, I know what creates a safe, empowering birth, and what gets in the way. It comes down to two things: knowing which information actually matters, and feeling safe enough to trust yourself even during unexpected twists and turns.
That’s what I hold you through.
this is for you if
⇒ You want to walk into birth feeling genuinely ready, not just hoping for the best.
⇒ You want concrete guidance on how to plan and prepare in a way that reduces stress.
⇒ You want to know what to focus on so the pushing stage happens on your terms and how to reduce the risk of tearing.
⇒ You want your partner to know what to do: how to support you, protect your space, and be present.
⇒ You want to be able to express your needs during birth without feeling like you’re creating conflict or putting your baby at risk.
⇒ You’re scared of being overruled by the system and want someone who knows how to navigate that with you.
⇒ You want the postpartum period to be a time of healing and attachment, not survival.
⇒ You want someone who knows the system inside out and will make sure you’re prepared to navigate it on your terms.
WELCOME. I'M ANNA.
Doula, birth educator & founder of Motherland.
At the core of everything I do is the belief that birth should be more than something you survive.
That’s why Motherland exists.
I work with a small number of women at a time for you to feel intimately held.
- Mother of three
- Over a decade of experience supporting women through birth, pregnancy and postpartum
- Doula educator and mentor
- Certified Birth Educator & Mentor through Birthing From Within, US
- Certified Lactation Consultant
- Trained in Birth Without Fear methodology
(and the client stories)
ARE CLEAR...
Doula support is one of the most researched interventions in maternity care, and the data consistently points in the same direction.
Continuous support was associated with:
→ Higher likelihood of spontaneous vaginal birth
→ Shorter labor
→ Less use of pain medication
→ Fewer instrumental births
→ Fewer negative birth experiences reported afterward
Lower risk of cesarean.
Higher breastfeeding initiation.
Significantly lower risk of postpartum depression.
None of this is about luck or fluff but about what happens physiologically when a woman feels safe, informed, and supported through pregnancy and labor.
praise
”Do yourself the most valuable favour of your pregnancy and work with Anna. You won’t regret it. You’ll come out feeling stronger, with a deeper trust in your own ability and a real understanding of what’s ahead. This kind of support is something every pregnant woman deserves.” M.L
The birth was incredible, I gave birth without pain relief, in water at the hospital, and caught him myself. It was the most powerful experience of my life. I felt so safe and strong, and so much of that came from everything I learned through working with Anna. D.S

When labor begins you can reach out via text or voice message and I’ll respond within 60 minutes during office hours. We can go through what’s happening, what you’re feeling, and what to do next so you don’t have to navigate this feeling lost.

For one week after the birth, I’m still here for breastfeeding questions, recovery, sleep, and nourishment and recovery and I’ll answer your questions within 24 hours. Need more time? You can extend your support week by week.

— Know how to navigate the system without being overruled even if the room feels rushed.
— Have tools that move you out of your head and into your body when it gets intense.
— Enter the first weeks as parents knowing what you and the baby needs.
i will hold you through:
YOUR STORY & WHERE YOU ARE NOW
Because no two births or women are the same. We work through the cultural stories you’ve absorbed about birth and motherhood, the ones that make you second-guess your body before you’ve even begun. We look at the hormones and phases of labor as a process your body already knows and we talk about what gets in the way of trusting that.
PLANNING YOUR BIRTH
This is where we get specific. I help you write a birth plan that actually reflects your wishes. We talk about how to navigate the system without losing your voice, how to make sure you’re listened to even when the room feels rushed, and what to do when someone tries to override a decision that’s important to you
Your partner (If there’s one) gets hand on tools for protecting your space, reading the room, and knowing exactly what to do when you need them the most.
COMING BACK TO YOURSELF
The part most birth preparation completely skips. We work on helping you reconnect with your own instincts, not the podcast version, not what your mother said, not what the women in the Facebook thinks. What you actually feel, want, and know. This is where we work with your intuition as a tool, so that when a decision needs to be made during birth, you can hear your own voice.
THE FIRST DAYS & WEEKS HOME
With the right support, nutrition, and care, the weeks after birth can be a period of deep healing rather than survival mode. We talk about what you actually need at home not just for he baby, but for you. Breastfeeding, sleep, the relationship shifts, the identity questions… What’s normal, what’s a sign you need more support, and how to ask for it.
Q&A.
Can I use my "friskvårdsbidrag?" ▼
Yes! Make sure to ask your employer but generally yes.
When should I join? ▼
For the full experience, I recommend joining before pregnancy week 30. Support is available from week 25 onwards. Joining later in pregnancy? There is still so much we can do together! Birth support, a clear plan, and someone truly in your corner even in the final weeks.
What if I give birth early? ▼
The same support applies — birth support and one week postpartum, regardless of when your baby arrives. No refunds for unused preparation time, but everything that matters most is still included
Can my partner join the video calls? ▼
Absolutely — and I encourage it. Your partner's role during birth matters more than most people realize, and our calls are a great place to work through that together.
How does the support actually work? ▼
We communicate via Telegram — voice messages and text. I respond within two working days, and from week 37 within 24 hours. During active labor I respond within 30–60 minutes during the day. No appointments and no scheduling needed.
Is everything confidential? ▼
Nothing is recorded without your consent. Telegram is encrypted and I will never ask you to share sensitive information via email.
What if we don't feel like the right fit? ▼
Before you apply, you're welcome to book a free 20-minute call to ask questions and make sure this feels right for you. Because this support is deeply personal and begins immediately, I don't offer refunds once we've started working together. That's why I offer a free 20-minute call before you apply — so we both feel confident this is the right fit.
Can I extend support after the first week postpartum? ▼
Yes — you can extend week by week. Because the fourth trimester (first three months with babay) deserves as much care as everything that came before.
What language do you work in? ▼
I work in both English and Swedish, whichever feels most natural to you.
When is the right time to reach out during labor? ▼
AWhenever you feel you need to. There's no such thing as reaching out too early or too late. If something feels off, or you just need someone to talk it through wit, I'm there.
